Another one bites the dust

It’s really still the same Xbox 360 I’ve had since launch, but this will be the third time it’s gone out…

I really have no problems with it breaking down since I do use it quite a bit, and over the last year it’s been at Pierre’s… yes, that box has probably clocked more hours than I have at work! We use it as a DVD player, Media Center Extender, etc., so it is put into really good use whenever we do turn it on. The video card on it crapped out maybe in March, so we had it repaired, but last night, as we were playing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, it broke down once more. Since Pierre couldn’t wait to get it fixed, he ended up buying a whole new Xbox 360 Arcade console, so that I can just take my Xbox 360 back home with me.

I’m gonna get it repaired soon so we can do some serious online gaming!

Apple USB Adapter recall

Hmm… it seems that Apple just issued this recall for all ultracompact USB adapters that came with the iPhone 3G. Apparently, in some cases, the metal prongs can break off and remain lodged in the socket.

You can either fill in the web form to get it shipped after October 10th or go to an Apple Retail Store to exchange it there. I guess I’ll be in Yorkdale next month to get it exchanged! ;)

Like a drug (Part 2)

I was quite surprised last night when I got home to find that my iPhone has arrived! I wasn’t really expecting it to come so soon, so despite being tired, I ended up playing around with it until about 5am.

I wasn’t expecting really to be blown away by it since I’ve read anything and everything about what it can do…boy, was I ever wrong! I’m still blown away this very second I’m typing this. It’s just very intuitive to use and I don’t see how I can ever go back to using another mobile phone again. I’m quite happy with it. That’s all there is to it! :)

HTC Touch Diamond

I just purchased the new Moto Q 9h from Fido a couple months back, but HTC just announced this phone a couple of weeks ago:

Now, a couple of my cousins have the HTC Touch (from Bell), but I think the HTC Touch Diamond just blows it out the water. That is one sexy phone! I just love how it’s faceted at the back… and the new TouchFLO 3D interface is quite awesome too. I can’t wait until it’s officially released so I can see it in person… *drool*

Stalker-ish

I was just playing around with Windows Live Maps today, and I noticed that they finally have their bird’s eye view for Toronto! It’s quite cool, but it’s semi-creepy on how you can see where you live from that angle.

I’ve been looking at everyone’s houses for a while now and playing around with the 3D map. I can tell ya that this is as good as Google Maps‘ Street View! I dunno if I’d appreciate a van driving around my neighbourhood taking photographs of my house at every angle though. Maybe as long as I’m not caught sunbathing, going into an adult book store, falling off my bike, or climbing over a fence trying to outrun the police. One of these houses is where I live. Of course, people who’ve been here would know which one it is… isn’t it cool? :P

And no, it’s not the one with the pink garage door! LOL
