New friends. New adventures.

We’ve all been through it. There comes a time in life where you realize who your true friends are. Those who are just going to be there… no questions, no problems. In the last year, I’ve slowly realized on who these people are in my life. Most of those who I thought were my true friends have fallen out of my life, and new ones who I absolutely love and trust more have come into my life.

These are now the people who’ve kept me grounded and sane in the last year — when it was one of the hardest.

One of my bests, Sean, is moving back into town, and I’m so excited for that. This will surely be a whole new adventure for the both of us since our group of friends have changed so much over the last year. I believe this is going to be a great new beginning for the both of us!

System install

After months of anticipation and work, it’s finally happening. My store’s finally getting the upgrade we’ve been wanting and asking for tonight! The rollout’s already happened to some of our corporate stores, so it’s quite exciting that it officially starts for us tonight.

I still have to go through some of the new manual to fully understand how to do things. They’ve totally changed everything and most of the procedures, so this would be interesting. Plus, I know that I’ll have to end up training mostly everyone to be able to use the new system… well, people who will be allowed to do transactions at least.

Times are hard

I’m currently cut off from everyone via mobile. Service interruption and a lengthy complaint later, I was told that my service will be back by Thursday the latest. I don’t even want to talk about it since I’m already disappointed enough. While it’s been kind of rough to not have my main communications line working, it’s been somewhat of a blessing since I’ve had peace and quiet to do other things. Yes, it’s quite hard to keep in touch with me these last few days (do it via Facebook or Live Messenger for now), it’s been nice to have “radio silence” so to speak.

I’ve also been living paycheck to paycheck this last couple of weeks. I didn’t work enough hours in the last two weeks of June (cause of the fun birthdays and Pride week) so I barely have enough money to get by until payday this coming Thursday. Right now, I have about $35 to my name to get me by. And the saddest thing is that $15 of those dollars do not belong to me. *sigh*

I’m just glad that I’m going to be working enough hours this month enough to last me until mid-August. I’ll need at least $250 for Montréal, but I know that number might be quite higher when I get there. At least we found a cheap place to stay at (UQAM Ouest Residences), which is gonna cost me $111 for 4 days and 3 nights. We’re taking my car since everyone pretty much volunteered it (LOL), so at least the fuel expenses will be split 4 ways too. I think I’m gonna have to eat really cheap so that I’ll have enough money for going out and drinking. I could always flirt with people and get them to buy drinks for me ’cause I’m evil like that. >:)

Anyway, I should really get to bed. It’s almost 4am. Just thought that an update would be nice… :)

I just had to…

I tried my best. I really did (to stay awake).

Around an hour ago, I started to feel a little lightheaded and exhausted, so I took a nap. Both Lorna and Sam had the same idea and they were already on my bed. I napped on the floor. It was a good and bad idea at the same time.

Good idea since it re-energized me.
Bad idea since now my back hurts from sleeping on the floor.

Oh well. It was a trade off I was willing to do.

Sam’s on the floor now since Lorna seemed to have shifted on the bed and won’t move. I’ll feel sorry for her once Sam wakes up. As if her back wasn’t already hurting enough before this…

I think we’ll need to get massages soon!

Never again

No, I’m not talking about Kelly Clarkson’s song.

I’m thinking that we should not have another party in a year. I was told to ditch work due to an emergency (last minute plans) and here I am. I woke up at 7am (cranky as always) only to find myself getting yelled at and ordered around like a slave. Well, Sam too.

We’ve already been told that we can’t do shit properly and that we don’t do enough… and it’s only 10am.

*sigh*

Lord, please give me the strength to last the day. I’m about to get behind the wheel of an automobile to start driving them around and there really isn’t anything left much to stop me from ramming the car into a wall… and I kinda mean it.

And you know it’s bad when I’d rather run around the store helping snobby customers earning barely anything for 8 hours than being here.
