Pride 2007: Unstoppable

June 27, 2007 Rye Leave a comment

Oh Lord… what a weekend indeed. 36 hours of drinking and partying. Tom and Allie’s birthday parties. A weekend full of friends, good times, cheap drinks, and not remembering much. Since I’m still somewhat recovering from the sheer exhaustion and fun of it all, I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves…

June 20: Sheryl’s ?th Birthday

The last week has been crazy fun with work, birthday bash fun, family events, and just plain ol’ good times! It’s still crazy since it’s Pride weekend here and three more birthday bashes tonight (Allie, Tom, Andrea). You know that there would be more photo updates after the weekend. As usual, the rest of the photos can be found @ Flickr.

Early morning

Maybe you won’t understand.

When I tell myself before I doze off that I want to sleep in, nothing or no one will stop me from sleeping in. That’s how I was last night… until my mom knocked loudly at my door today before 8am and told me to drive my cousin to the dentist. I grumbled and went back to sleep until they woke me up again to drive them. Now, I thought that I was just merely dropping off my cousin to the dentist and I could go back home after to continue my slumber. No, I was going to be awake for the next 4 hours to drive them around to run errands. Usually I agree to these things, but I really wanted to sleep in today… and that wasn’t the case.

At least my mom filled up my tank and bought me food. See what a good son I am for going with them to run errands? :P

Edit: Shortly right after lunch, I was with Sam and my mom running errands once more. Sam had to do stuff at the bank, while my mom wanted to buy fruits from the grocery store and lightbulbs from Canadian Tire. Another 3 hours of running errands and waiting, I was finally home and completely zonked out ’til now. It is now 7pm, and I need to get ready soon for Sheryl’s party. Cell phone and camera battery charged up? Check! What to wear tonight? I’m in big trouble… I’ll manage to throw something good on eventually.

Mysterious Halo 3 E-mail

Forerunner E-mail

So I was checking my inbox this morning when I got that e-mail from the Xbox Live team. I could already tell (from the background image) that it was Halo 3 related before I even clicked on any of the three links (the two white text lines and background image) which lead to the Halo 3 website. Also, if you click on the e-mail link (if you can’t view the image on your mail program), the page title simply says “Forerunner Email”. If it was meant to be really cryptic, then it was really “subtle” of them to send a mass message from the Xbox Live e-mail list. I’ll be looking forward to what this whole thing ends up to be for sure. It might be another ARG (alternate reality game) like the previous I Love Bees (which I loved) campaign for the Halo 2 release. I think it’s safe to say that the entire Xbox Live community who are Halo fans are just about scratching their heads or trying to decrypt the e-mail further. Me? I’m the one scratching my head… for now.

Reunited with Andrea

Andrea and myself have always tried to talk to and see each other when we can, but we haven’t had this much catch-up time in a while (since our schedules allowed us) so it was quite fun and exciting!Later last week, we decided to go for lunch (with Heather, of course!) then once Heather had to go back to work (boo…) we were thinking of where to go. We walked around Markville for a bit, but decided that it wasn’t gonna be as fun as going somewhere else. We wanted to go for coffee, then Andrea said that we should go to Main Street Unionville to walk around and hang out there. Once we decided on the place, we were off!It was so much fun to just walk around there and just talk with her again. We got there and decided to get Starbucks (I suggested she get the Orange Mocha, which she loved!) and we walked around aimlessly. We managed to pass by a church (which is now a fitness store), a bridal party taking photographs (twice!), reach a dead end, and lots of little shops and restaurants and nice houses. We sat on benches after benches just talking and catching up. Also, managed to have some yummy ice cream when we finally decided that it was time to switch to the view of the other side of the street. We were sitting down at a bench at the other side of the ice cream shop! We also took a few photos (of course) and while we were at the ice cream shop, we were trying to figure out how the Bluetooth connection on Andrea’s iPAQ works. Of course, two IT students couldn’t figure it out… aiyah! Complicated technology I tell ya! LOL…

We also planned to go to Crews (since she’s never been) on last Friday… especially since it’s been a really, really, really long time since we’ve both been out dancin’. It was about time! Oh Lord, it was so much fun. We just danced the night away. Tom and Felix were there too so that made the night even more awesome. Did a couple of shots with them and had a couple of rum and cokes. I couldn’t drink that much since I was the designated driver, but I did dance… a lot! I haven’t danced in a while so it was awesome. Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without boob grabs and grinding and such. I saw John H there too… and I ran into Vic, literally! I was going to the bar, and he was getting out of the dancefloor downstairs, when I bumped into him, I looked up and it was Vic!!! Of all the places to see him too. We caught up for a bit, then he had to go. He did tell me that he was here for a contract job, and he’d love to stay in the city. I sure do hope he stays as well, especially with Sean coming back and all in September too! The night was just majorly awesome, as always.
