It’s finally nice out. The temperatures are slowly rising. The sun rises earlier and sets later during the day. You see more people wearing t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops. Yes… it’s the beginning of the summer season in Toronto!
I decided not to work so much this summertime. I’m also applying somewhere else at the moment. I think it’s about time to move on from that retail job to other things. If that doesn’t work out, at least I know I have this job to fall back on. I’m just deciding on my availability for June-August at the moment and I’m having a hard time which days to take off. I definitely know for sure that I have to take Fridays off so that Allie and myself can work on our new website project, so I’m leaning more towards taking Saturdays off too. Also, maybe another weekday off as well. What could go wrong with a 4-day work week? I’ll have to see. I have until Sunday to change my availability for the season. At least Sheryl reminded me today that her graduation was on June 14th or else I would’ve totally worked that day. It was quite funny that when I was talking to Amanda, I knew that I was supposed to book a weekday off (for that week), but I just couldn’t remember which day or what reason. Thank God she was there or else I would’ve been scheduled for that day!
I’m going to be booking off a lot of days as well because of June birthdays (5 to be exact!), Pride Week, and just plain ol’ relaxation time. We’ll see how this all plans out. For now, it’s time to enjoy the sun!
